Initially, blogging involved a personal web log, in which a person would journal about their day. From “web log” came the term “blog.” Like most new innovations on the Internet, many entrepreneurs saw a marketing potential in having a blog, and blogging took off from there. Not only can a blog be used for marketing, but also, be made into a home business.
With social media power there has been a wide spread of media overflow and content collection from all corners. The elephant in the room being who really is a blogger? What is a blog? Is blogging and writing different? Simply put … one who participates in the activities of maintaining a blog is known as a blogger. The activity of keeping a blog is known as blogging. Meaning – A blogger blogs in their blog. Boom!
Over time blogs have evolved to much more than platforms where people write about their day-to-day activities. Our mundane, everyday tasks have over the years became fodder for journal entries. Today bloggers blog about far more interesting topics.😌

Blog Versus Website
Many people are still confused over what constitutes a blog over a website. Part of the problem is that many businesses use both, integrating them into a single web presence-like moi😶. But there are two features of a blog that set it apart from a traditional website.
Blogs are updated frequently. Whether it’s a mommy blog, a food blog, or a business providing updates to its services. Blogs have new content added several times a week. Blogs also allow for reader engagement. They often include social media handles too. This gives the readers the ability to comment and have a discussion with the blogger and others making it social.
So Who Blogs?
Anyone can! Depending on what you feel you would want to write about. If you are fearless enough you can have a lifestyle blog. Let the whole world into your world. Once a heaven of only the technical know it all’s: blogging has caught on as a legitimate hobby and profession. Hence it fully entering the mainstream. Every day millions of people, some of whom have no technical ability whatsoever, manage to update their blogs.
