What is prayer? The action of talking to a Supernatural being. What is an oak? It is a large tree which bears acorns and typically has lobed deciduous leaves. What is an ark? In the Bible: the ship built by Noah to save his family and two of every kind of animal from the Flood; Noah’s ark.
For me to be able to get here today, it hasn’t been easy. I promised I would share with you my professional and personal journey. From my current vantage point what got me through it all is prayer. When family, friends, work and a loved one turned on me: I drew my strength from prayer.
Ultimately true unplanned loss of anything and anyone dis-stabilizes one’s being. A whirlwind of guilt, fear, uncertainty and sadness more often leads to depression. Feeling lonely in the midst of life around renders you helpless. At this point in my life I was drowning and I needed an ark and definitely didn’t see myself as an oak.
When I Prayed!
This one of the sermon’s that I drew my strength from👉🏾 Pastor Hagee. It clearly points out that prayer is not sending God to ran on your errands! A christian can see more on their knees before they get on their feet. Prayer is not preparing God to do you will. Prayer is getting you prepared to do God’s will!
Prayer is the only way to release the supernatural power of God in your life:to show you great and mighty things you know not! Prayer does not need proof prayer needs practice! And so ….
When my marriage is under attack I pray! When my siblings are being tormented by the prince of darkness I pray! When my baby was gone I prayed! When my business wasn’t kicking off I prayed! When I got fired from work I prayed! When I was diagnosed with sickness I prayed! When I felt lost and without God I prayed! When my life seems meaningless and I feel hopeless I pray! I prayed and still pray because God can only answer prayer!
Hold up so what do you do when you pray and things don’t change? What do you do when you pray and it stops raining, but begins to flood? Prayer become my ark.🧘🏾♀️
