Low key I have been doing my research on social media as a marketing tool. The newest trick up my sleeve I must say. Being the newest, fast changing and challenging department in most companies: there must be a few common tricks. If not then how come these big organisations are spending on social media? How about I share my findings?
Social media in general is a hub of information so most likely something that you read today was read by someone yesterday. Let us learn how to filter this information. Retweeting and sharing everything that you read or find interesting will earn you the ‘mute’ button or ‘show less of’ clicked on your profile. Unless they are memes of-course. Brands should understand the art of filtering posts on social networks. This will ultimately get them the desired positive attention.

To all the readers and philosophers out here. Unless you are very important please don’t share everything that you consume intellectually. It’s exhausting and frankly most people don’t care. However if you feel the urge to share, you can and should put your thoughts and reads in context that is relatable. Be professional about it.
